A killer kit is easier to learn when you first identify its pressure pattern. Read the current game description, choose one purpose for the round, and let the map and objective tell you when to change targets.
Identify one way the killer creates pressure
These categories help you interpret live ability wording. They are not a fixed list of FORSAKEN killer types. A single kit can cover more than one category, and its exact behavior must be checked in the current game.
Chase pressure
Use your current tools to shorten a route or force a survivor to make a choice. Keep the objective and time cost in view while committing.
Space control
Make a route, objective, or region harder to use. This is strongest when you know what the other side wants from that area.
Commit with a reason, then reset with a reason
Start from an observation
Choose a chase because it protects an objective, follows current information, or reaches a valuable position. Do not chase only because a target appears nearby.
Watch the route cost
Notice whether the chase pulls you away from the active area for too long. A target who leads you through empty space may be buying time for the team.
Use the map as information
Learn sightlines, common returns, and obstacles in the current rotation. A path you understand is more valuable than a difficult ability attempt without context.
Reset deliberately
When pressure no longer serves the round, return to the current objective or the next reliable signal. A reset is a decision, not a failure.
Check the current kit before using outside advice
- Roster availability: confirm the killer is in the current game selection.
- Exact ability wording: read the live description and prompts before interpreting a guide.
- Map and mode: make sure the advice applies to the current environment, not an event or retired rotation.
- Source date: flag recommendations that predate a balance or content update.
Do not treat an old ability table as current
